Bachelor of Arts in Music with a Concentration in Jazz Studies

The Bachelor of Arts in Music with an emphasis in Jazz Studies provides students with the curricular elements of the Bachelor of Arts in Music that incorporate jazz-based applied study and ensembles, along with courses in jazz theory and improvisation, jazz history, jazz composition and arranging, and access to other jazz-related elective courses. Graduates are prepared to enter the industry as jazz musicians and to enter graduate study in music. The program includes 26 credit hours for general studies electives or a minor in another field of study.
